Would you like to get involved with QWOC+ Boston?
We are always seeking volunteers, organizers, and ambassadors; friendly, energetic, initiative-taking individuals that will help plan and promote QWOC+ Boston events to marginalized groups and communities. With your help, we’ll be able to work together to stay stay actively inclusive of QWOC+ Boston members of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, and gender presentations.
If you feel strongly about serving the needs of a particular group within QWOC+ Boston and/or would love to become an organizer, we would really love to speak with you! Email volunteer@qwocboston.org to set up an initial meeting with our volunteer coordinator.

- Host/Hostess
- Schmoozer
- Photographer
- List Agent (Mailing List)
- Post Master (Publicity)
- Web 2.0 Enthusiast (Pre-Event Promotions via Facebook, Myspace, etc)

The Volunteer Experience
Volunteering at events is a low-key and exciting one-time commitment. Plus, let’s face it… it’s also an awesome way to meet people. Volunteers at QWOC+ events enjoy a variety of perks depending on the nature of the event; free drinks, admission, and ‘occupational flirting’ are a few. If you’ve got a sanguine personality and enjoy meeting and conversing with new people, or even if you’re an introverted newbie that freaks out at the thought of attending social events alone, we have a position for YOU!
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never volunteered or been a part of a not-for-profit group/organization before; all you need is a diversity-conscious attitude, a pow wow with our head organizer/volunteer coordinator, and a friendly countenance.
