Just a friendly (and excited) reminder that QWOC+ Boston and MadFemmePride are hosting our 2nd annual “Movie Night In” during the MFA’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival tonight!

A Little Less Talk, a Lot More Action: The Impact of Stress on Queer Women of Color was a HUGE success! 
As an actionable response to the lack of resources available to queer people of color seeking culturally-competent and queer-friendly health services surmised during this discussion, a few QWOC+ Boston organizers have been working on a project to create a list of online culturally specific and queer-friendly resources!

New Website is Officially Launched! 
QWOC+ Boston is excited to announce the launch of our Brand New Web 2.0 Website!
We’ve introduced a blog-style format to foster online discussions and dialogue of everything QPOC in the Greater Boston area. As such, we encourage you to register, comment, explore pages/posts, share links etc. We truly value your participation – and feedback! – this year, and are counting on you to guide our programming direction and efforts for this year’s “Diversity Speaks” campaign.
  
Upcoming Events 
Details for upcoming events have already been posted in the site under the “Upcoming Events” category. However, we’d like to draw special attention to the following events:
Paint the Town Red: A Fundraiser Event for The Network/La Red (April 25th)
The Network/La Red has been doing amazing work to spread awareness of and combat domestic violence within the queer community. They have also been avid financial supporters of QWOC+ Boston in the past and are in part responsible for our explosive growth and program expansion in 2008. Please support their work by purchasing a ticket to this highly anticipated 25th anniversary celebration. Event Post

Fenway’s Boundless series collaborates with QWOC+ Boston, Queer Asian Pacific Alliance, and Somos Latinnos, on a resource fair and discussion around the impact of stress on the mental health of queer women of color. Light dinner served. RSVP not required, but appreciated. Event Post
