NEW Trans Men of Color Group Starting

Men of STIR (Strong Transgender Individuals Rising), is an inter-generational transmen of color discussion group that seeks to address the ‘social construction of masculinity specifically dealing with the experience of Transgender men of color identities. However, while we are supporting each other through our journeys, this is NOT a support group.

Discussions and workshops will focus on:

  • Self/personal journey
  • Spirituality
  • On the job
  • Sex and sexuality, sexual health
  • Coming out family and friends
  • Health /wellness
  • Visibility/ Invisibility
  • Dating
  • Transitioning
  • Hormones
  • Surgery
  • Pumping

FIRST MEETING: Screening and post-film discussion on Still Black: A Portrait of Black Transmen, a documentary project featuring the narratives of six thoughtful, eloquent and diverse transmen followed by discussion
