From a QWOC in Japan: “I have learned that I cannot do it on my own and that as much as I perhaps took credit for what I knew and what I learned, I realize that I always had a constant source of support to fall back on. Now that these friends – my family – are many miles away, I am left to navigate this world, for the first time, as a true outsider.”

 

Family Day at Stony Brook Park with GLSEN, GLBT Parents Meetup, and QWOC+ Boston

Join Queer Women of Color and Friends (QWOC+ Boston), Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), and Boston GLBT Parents Network for a fun-filled Family day at Stony Brook Park in Jamaica Plain.

- Bring a meal to share on the community picnic blanket
- Bring your kids for some face painting
- Play basketball? There’ll be a pick-up game organized by Coach Tiamfook!
- Practice your hula hooping!
- Get down with your crew by a boom box
