Dear QWOC+ Boston friends,
We’d like to make a personal request:
A fierce QWOC+ supporter/volunteer, dear friend, fellow community organizer, and long-time producer of all kinds of queer, rebellious, funky, limit-pushing events in Boston needs OUR support during her surgery recovery.
Please consider attending one of the fundraising events we’re supporting this weekend and RETURN the love Aliza’s [...]

QWOC+ Boston (Queer Women of Color and Friends), the Center for New Words, and Boston NOW are co-sponsoring a discussion around the spirit of raising awareness of multiculturalism within the LGBTQ community, entitled: “Diversity Speaks on Coming Out to Different Cultures and Communities of Color”.
Coming out looks different for individuals everywhere; the intersections of race, class, sexuality, and gender playing out in all sorts of complicated, sad, exciting, and inspiring ways. Come to share, listen, and learn about other people’s experiences, and find out new ways to be involved with QWOC+ Boston this summer.
What could be better than smart talk, swell people and sweet food?
Feminism & Dessert, the first Tuesday of every month, is the Center for New Words’ monthly series of engagingly informal talks about subjects that impact our daily lives.
Feel free to bring your dinner, but dessert’s on us!
