QWOC WEEK: Call for Organizers and Volunteers

Posted By QWOC+ Boston on March 2nd, 2009

Greetings QWOC+ Boston, and Happy Snow Day!

We’re baaaaack! After a much-needed hiatus (and winter hibernation), we are excited to announce our first organizer planning meeting of the year on Tuesday March 10th @ 7pm.

QWOC WEEK IS APPROACHING
Mark your calendars. August 3rd-9th are the dates.

If you attended QWOC Week last year, no explanation of the multicultural pride festival is needed. But for first-timers, the link above takes you to the section that lists the details of last year’s events.

CALL FOR PLANNERS, ORGANIZERS, AND VOLUNTEERS
We need your help to make QWOC Week a success in 2009! Last year, we planned an ENTIRE week of successful events for our qwoc and ally community. The week was PHENOMENAL, and we need your help to ensure that we repeat this success again in 2009.

No ‘level of experience’ is needed to volunteer! You can help out in a number of ways i.e. planning, flyering, emailing, graphic design, press, facebook, myspace etc. Are you interested in hosting a fundraiser? Curating a film screening? Organizing a talk or discussion? Planning a musical/theatrical performance? The possibilities are endless and we welcome any and all ideas.

Email volunteer at qwocboston dot org by THIS THURSDAY to receive the address details.
The meeting takes place next week Tuesday March 10th @ 7pm in Central Square, Cambridge, and is OPEN TO EVERYONE. Really.

Hope to see many of you next Tuesday!
